Concept

The concept revolved around the words ‘compassion’ and ‘enlightenment’, after considering the importance of the Parish Church in the community and the fact that it also housed NHS (Marylebone Surgery) and a counseling center. I was inspired by their compassion for the physical and mental well-being of people who informed a lot of my design decisions.

Design Development and Proposal

After identifying the existing circulation of the different user groups in the church, I made a size distribution diagram for better circulation and revised existing amenities to suit appropriate functions while considering ergonomics.

I introduced a new, safer staircase for better vertical circulation while using it to promote the activities of the Parish Church and the facilities and services available for the community.
